Mike Staver

Mike Staver is an internationally respected coach and speaker. He has been interviewed for many publications on his signature speaking and writing topic “Leadership Isn’t for Cowards” and how to build high performance firms and his new book with the same title was just released. 

With a master’s degree in counseling psychology and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, he has found a way to make complex ideas simple, memorable and immediately applicable. 

He is a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), a designation held by fewer than 10% of the members belonging to the International Federation for Professional Speakers. Mike is a best selling author and award winning speaker. Most recently he was chosen as one of the 40 hottest business speakers in America by Meetings and Conventions magazine.

Janet Traphagen

Janet Traphagen has been in the hospitality industry for over 25 years. Today, as President of Creative Group she powers corporate strategy, sales & marketing and operations, leading the organization, its individuals and their customers to breakthrough performance. Janet envisions what’s next, analyzes the data, believes in the people and aligns the resources to achieve outstanding results. She joined Creative Group in 1996 in an operations role as Account Manager. In 1999, she transitioned into sales as an Account Executive and in 2004 was promoted to Vice President/Account Executive. During her tenure as an Account Executive, she was recognized as “AE of the Year” several times and served on the company’s Management and Executive Committees.  Janet currently serves as chair of the IRF and is also an advisory board member of the Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts.  In addition, she has served on the Starwood Advisory Council and is a frequent contributor to industry panel discussions. Outside of the industry, Janet serves as a board member for Humor for Hope, a non-profit organization serving critically ill children.


Susan Adams

With over 20 years’ experience in incentive travel, Susan is now responsible for Marketing and Communications at Next Level Performance. She works actively in the industry to promote understanding and adoption of incentives, engagement, and recognition, currently serving as an Incentive Research Foundation Trustee and as chair of the Research Committee. She has also served on the board of the Incentive Marketing Association (IMA) and is a past president of the Recognition Council, and a past member of the Performance Improvement Council. A frequent contributor to industry press, Susan is passionate about the workplace experience and how that relates to business performance. In her spare time, she is an avid traveler who recently tried glacier hiking for the first time and lived to tell the tale.
